On the morning of December 19, 2025, the groundbreaking ceremony for the project “Upgrading and widening Hoi Bai – Phuoc Tan Road (DT992)” took place. With a total investment of VND 3,690 billion, this is a strategic project that directly connects National Highway 51 with the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway. This route is considered an arterial road, linking to the Eastern North–South Expressway, Ho Chi Minh City’s Ring Road 4, Long Thanh International Airport, and key economic centers and seaports, while playing a key role in collecting and relieving the immense cargo volume from the Cai Mep – Thi Vai port complex to the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway and vice versa.
