The pier is a continuous marginal wharf with an open-piled structure, 63.5 meters wide; the total berth length is 352.84 meters. The berth is designed as a slab-and-girder structure resting on $\text{1.2-meter-diameter}$ bored piles.
Design throughput capacity for cargo is approximately 3.3 million tons per year.
