“If the districts are able to hand over the site to the contractor before June 30 as directed by Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan and Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Tran Vinh Tuyen, we will strive to complete the project by the end of this year,” said Mr. Tien.

Speaking during the project inspection, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le, Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council, acknowledged the efforts of the investor and the project management unit, however, the handover of the site before June 30 of the districts may be difficult. Therefore, districts, counties and departments need to get involved to ensure the progress of the project.

According to Ms. Le, right after today, the People’s Council will go directly to the districts to survey the handover of the site, remove difficulties for the districts to further speed up the work.

Similarly, Mr. Pham Duc Hai, Vice Chairman of the People’s Council of Ho Chi Minh City, said that in May, he will work with 5 districts related to the project to supervise the implementation of the request of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee on the handover of the site for this project.

“We also require the project to ensure safety and quality. In addition, the city’s functional agencies also need to have documents and propaganda work on the project’s effectiveness for the people to know,” Mr. Hai stated his opinion. Regarding the site, Mr. Cao Thanh Binh, Deputy Head of the Economic and Budget Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council, also said that the districts have committed to handing over the site on June 30, but still need more strong participation from departments and branches so as not to affect the project’s progress.
